Blair Skincare is a brand rooted in the art of elevated self-care. It encourages women to embrace love, care, and respect—not only for others but for themselves. Guided by its mission, Blair Skincare leads women on a transformative journey toward confidence and joy, where peace triumphs over perfection.
Blair, the owner and operator of Skin by Blair, a Charlotte-based aesthetics practice, has spent years building an innovative and highly sought-after skincare line. As both entities flourished, she envisioned intentional separation between her practice and her products, and we partnered to craft a visual identity that honed in on her skincare line.
To create clear separation between the two businesses, the skincare line—formerly known as Skin by Blair—required more than just a visual distinction; it needed a name that complemented the aesthetics practice while standing on its own.
During the brand strategy phase, we uncovered a fascinating detail: the name “Blair” originates from the Scottish Gaelic word Blár, meaning meadow or field. Inspired by this discovery, we simplified the name to Blair Skincare and developed a brand story rooted in the serene essence of a meadow.
A meadow embodies simple beauty and quiet resilience. It’s a place to marvel at the elegance of wildflowers, find solace in the gentle melodies of songbirds, and feel untethered from the weight of modern life. This vision became the foundation of Blair Skincare, capturing its purpose as a restorative retreat in the form of self-care.
In close collaboration with Blair—a faith-filled entrepreneur using her gifts to uplift others—we developed a brand identity that exudes confidence and serenity – reflecting their mission to empower women through elevated self-care. The brand champions the transformative power of love, care, and respect for oneself, fostering a journey toward peace, confidence, and joy.
The foundation of the visual identity is a custom, sophisticated wordmark featuring a strikingly elegant “B” icon, designed to become a hallmark of the brand. The distinctive mark was complemented by warm typography and a soothing, earthy color palette, creating visuals that feel indulgent yet grounded.
To incorporate Blair’s faith, I hand-drew a delicate floral and bird motif inspired by Matthew 6:26-27. This design serves as a gentle reminder of trust, care, and the beauty of simplicity, seamlessly weaving her values into the heart of the brand in a meaningful and timeless way.
For the product packaging and unboxing experience, the goal was to create something restful and refined—like taking a deep, calming breath.
The packaging design reflects peace, simplicity, and elegance, with subtle moments for the brand motif to shine, such as on the interior of the box. Blair selected premium materials to enhance the experience—thick, textured boxes and durable vessels that instantly communicate the product’s elevated quality.
Every detail was thoughtfully designed, from artistic typography to functional yet beautiful elements. The unboxing experience provides more than just aesthetic appeal; it offers educational touches and delightful details, blending purpose with beauty.
In honor of her rebrand launch, Blair hosted an intimate Secret Garden Party at the Duke Mansion, unveiling the new name and identity among close friends and Charlotte’s elite. Amongst a bespoke invitation suite and exclusive merchandise, Blair partnered with us to create a brand-inspired installation that showcased her best-selling product, Tonic, seamlessly weaving the brand story into the evening’s atmosphere. It was a night of indulgence, elegance, and celebration – setting an unforgettable tone for this new chapter of business.
This brand identity reflects Blair Skincare’s heart: inspiring self-confidence, joyful self-care, and compassion. Partnering with Copy Uncorked for warm, intentional messaging and leveraging a thoughtful, artistic visual system, we created a meaningful and restorative brand experience.
